“We greatly appreciate the donation to Mutunyi. Most of the families here cannot afford a good meal per day. The children survive on the food provided in the schools. Thank you very much for making a difference in their lives.”

— Mercy Mwirigi, Assistant Education Officer, Lewa Wildlife Conservancy

“Hi, THANK YOU for another wonderful autism carnival. This was our family's third year attending and it has become the highlight of our fall. We would like to send a special thank you to each of the sponsors listed on the back of the t-shirts as well as your foundation. Is it possible to get contact information so that we know where to send these cards?”

— Nike Peterson

“Yesterday I attended the Autism Carnival with my husband and daughter. What an awesome experience. Thank you! I had heard about it last year and thought that it didn't make sense. I worried about overstimulation, tantrums from waiting in line, loud noises, confusion, and much more. So, I didn't go last year. But this year we gave it a shot. What a CLASS ACT. There are so many ways to do an event for children with autism wrong, but you did it RIGHT in so many ways! Thank you! My daughter had a great time. It was actually the first time that she didn't demand her noise cancelling headphones for an activity with so many people around her. It was a HUGE breakthrough for her. THANK YOU! This event will be on our calendar every year from now on!”

“Our family attended the Carnival for Autism yesterday, WOW, is all I can say. It is such a struggle to live with Autism every day, but people like you and your volunteers amaze me with their kindness. That was probably the most generous thing anyone has ever done for our family, and all the families with Autism. Thank you!!”

— Paula Monaco

“I just want to say Thanks for the carnival on Saturday. It was very well organized. The volunteers were very helpful and positive and my son and his sibling had a great time. I can't believe how many people were there! And how much there was to do. It was a very enjoyable time. I thought we might last 1 hour max and were there almost the entire time. Thank you for planning and executing such a worthwhile event. The smile on my son's face when he made it safely up and down the rock-climbing wall was priceless!”

— Lisa Wade

“On behalf of Spectrum Academy, I would like to thank SaharaCares for the generous donation. As the only charter school in Utah serving the Autism community, we rely on the generosity of our local businesses to help us provide an enriching, educational experience for our children and their families. Your support is greatly appreciated and will impact so many.”

— Monica Owen, Development Director

“On behalf of the Utah National Guard Charitable Trust, I would like to thank you for your generous contribution to the Sub for Santa for Military Families program again this holiday season. You helped provide clothing, gifts, and food for families who would have otherwise gone without. This year, the program assisted 109 military families with 309 children.”

— Patricia Annette Barnes, Major, UTNG

"Our son, Carson, is 8 years old. He has severe autism. He doesn’t speak, dress himself, come to his name, or eat with utensils. He runs as fast as he can whenever he can, and has no fear. We pretty much got him potty trained last year, so we’re excited about that. He had a blast at the carnival jumping and finding bugs. Carson started saying random words this year and signing a few words. He imitates the little dog on a video that is Cheech Marin’s voice, saying “Check it out!’ We loving hearing his voice.

It really is overwhelming that you all put on this activity for our kids. As a parent of a disabled child sometimes life can be very stressful and hard. It is a real ray of sunshine to have people like yourselves care about my child even when you don’t have to."

— Cheryl and Carson Smith

"On behalf of the Board of Directors for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation International (JDRF), I thank you for your generous donation in support of our 2007 Tri-County Walk to Cure Diabetes. It is because of the support we receive from friends like you that JDRF has funded over $100 million in diabetes search in the year 2006.

Your gift will help move the JDRF on step closer in its urgent mission to find the cause and cure of diabetes. We are pleased to count you among our friends who will share in the success of our endeavors when the cure is found."

— Laura Hayes Western

This is a “thank-you” letter that is a pleasure to write! After all, it is always a joy to share some good news. The good news is by sponsoring 45 angels through The Salvation Army’s Angel Tree program you played a considerable role in helping more than 4,000 children enjoy a brighter holiday season.
