A Charitable Ride for Autism and March of Dimes

At times we take our health, surroundings and support from family and friends for granted. Often we see those in need or challenged both physically and mentally and comment to ourselves that we wish we could do something to help. Here's that opportunity.

Golden Spike Harley Davidson, Interform Group, Sahara Inc., and Farmers Insurance teamed up to organize a charity ride for "SaharaCares for Autism" and the March of Dimes on Saturday May 17, 2008. The ride started at five Harley-Davidson locations: Ogden and Logan, Utah; Idaho Falls and Pocatello, Idaho; and Jackson Hole, Wyoming. The riders left at noon from the various locations and met at Lava Hot Springs later that afternoon. Concerts began playing at 3 pm. The unique event drew nearly 1,000 bikers and enthusiasts for a day of great music, food and fun.

The SaharaCares Foundation is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that is dedicated to helping children in our communities. SaharaCares has been instrumental in organizing service projects and community activities for over six years, with a focus on helping children with autism. The March of Dimes is dedicated to improving the health of babies by preventing birth defects, premature birth and infant mortality.
